HEARTWALL
São Paulo, Brasil, 2021.
Heart Wall is an interactive work of art that aims to add a sensitive layer to our home, creating new poetics in design. In each cocoon, there is a LED dot that lights up synchronized to a person’s heartbeat, making up a constellation of pulses. By touching the bpm sensor positioned on the piece, it is possible to record its beats through a single platform connected by a wi-fi system. It is a sensitive sculpture that integrates intimacy and exposure. It holds the affective memory of the people who inspire our sense of community.
Design with code
Parametric design uses algorithms to set rules and parameters that will define the relations between project concept and result.

The pieces are digitally designed, which means that the digital 3D model and the technical drawings are generated from the development of computacional codes. A CNC Router machine, a mechanical arm, cuts the plywood sheets into predefined modules and engraves an identification code on each part. With the plates ready and identified, the assembly is made only by fittings and can be carried out in loco, quickly and efficiently.
A poetic object in the environment, an interactive work of art unites technology and affection through heartbeats.
